More about this event…
Youthfront’s “Something to Eat” meal packing ministry, in partnership with Jacob’s Well, is organizing a citywide event to supply area pantries with thousands of shelf-stable meals. This citywide meal packing event will be a large, unified effort to fight food insecurity in Kansas City. In one weekend, we’ll pack thousands of meals for our neighbors.
This event is about more than just one day – it’s about growing our compassion to serve others as a way of life. In addition to packing meals, there will be breakout sessions running throughout the weekend that dive deeper into the biblical call to justice, the importance of seeking people out, and what it means to love our neighbors locally. These sessions will inspire you to seek out ways to serve all year long.
90-minute time slots are open on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23. If possible, sign up on Saturday afternoon when other Jacobs Wellers will be serving. If you have any questions, email Emily at emilyr@jacobswellchurch.org.
