At Jacob's Well, we believe church happens whenever people join together to pursue authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another. Achieving a level of genuine relationship, where you know others and are known, is generally quite difficult in our Sunday gatherings. Therefore we encourage and support gatherings for worship, formation and fellowship in smaller settings where social and personal relationships can form.
Community Groups are one of the primary ways we at Jacob’s Well pursue spiritual formation and meaningful personal interaction. A typical Community Group meets regularly between September and May involving 8-15 people who gather for a couple of hours to share the basic Christian practices of engaging the scriptures, discussing aspects of our Faith and for common prayer. Additionally, we gather on many other occasions for meals, to serve others, and to share life together.
Community Groups gather in homes around the greater Kansas City area. If you would like to participate, we have open enrollments each year in the early spring or fall. It is also possible to get involved in between these enrollment periods by emailing "Groups":mailto:groups@jacobswellchurch.org.
